Attrition Check!

The company
Genpact, a provider of business and technology services, came into existence in 1997. Since its inception, the company has been focusing on end-to-end BPO and IT services across key verticals, emerging as a leader within these segments.

The innovation
Genpact has developed a special Predictive Retention Tool to attract, train and retrain top talent to work on its customers' processes and solutions. With this tool, Genpact has been able to control staff turnover. The tool, based on a Binary Logistic Regression Model, predicts attrition trends across Genpact and calculates the propensity of each employee to attrite, on a real-time basis.

The benefits
Genpact's predictive model correlates employee tenure to their jobs/roles in the organization and employee attributes critical to retention. The model predicts an attrition risk score for each employee.

Relevant practices, initiated to mitigate the risk of attrition, are also monitored through this tool. The tool uses a customized model for different skill and job types and is capable of redesign at regular time intervals to capture current market trends.

The Predictive Retention Tool enables managers to devise and implement proactive action plans to mitigateattrition. The tool also tracks the effectiveness of those retention practices, allowing managers to continuously improve them.

Ariyaatha pillakku choriyumbol ariyum!

As a kid/teenager, my only source of information to learn malayalam was Manorama Publications' Balaram, a children's fortnightly and my granny. I still vividly remember how she used to teach me the basics of malayalam whenever I come to Kerala on vacations. My granny was also a great source of amazement for me as she used malaylam proverbs or the so called "pazham chollu" every now and then. These proverbs, though small in length and use, had deep insights! Though I can read/write Malayalam today, thx to Balarama and my granny, I used to miss her proverbs a lot. But not anymore!! Thanks to this Wikipedia link , forwarded to me by Vinay
