In another Bollywoodish twist, a hero cum villain who claimed he was married to actress Aishwarya Rai attempted suicide outside the Bachchans' home early on Friday morning. Salman Khan cut his "susu" outside Prateeksha, the Bachchans' bungalow in Juhu, claiming he is unable to bear Abhishek Bachchan's marriage to Aishwarya Rai later in the day. Khan tried to file a complaint against Aishwarya Rai with the Juhu police, but the complaint has not been registered. In an ironic twist, he was made nanga (which he never resisted ) and made to dance on the roads. "We did not register the complaint because he is not wearing his shirt or pant and was threatening to remove his underwear too . We told him to come later with his pants," senior inspector of Juhu police station, Pradeep Shinde, said. The Bachchans have maintained silence on the issue.

The Madras Players were here in town this past weekend to perform at PSG IMS Auditorium. The program was organized by Roundtable 101 in connection with a fund raising for charity. The Madras Players enacted two comical plays, based on Neil Simon's Plaza Suite, directed by Mithran Devanesan. The two plays enacted had the audience enthralled with the wits, and most were seen laughing out loud, shedding all inhibitions (including me). The plays were so close to real life marriage woes, that it had me and my wife looking at each other in agreement while laughing our heads off! PC Ramakrishna , the voice of Chennai , and a noted theater and film personality formed the crux of the plays. I've never seen any other actor with such a commanding voice and brilliant acting capabilities.
