Hip Hip Hurraaay!

Ah, Finally, yes Finally, the idiots at Indian ISPS have removed the blanket ban on all blogs!!! Am I elated?? Ask ME! Yeeeehaaa! Regular programming starts soon!

Hard@Work

Hey folks, I've been hard pressed @ work for the past few days... Added to it, the ban currently on in India on blogs is putting me off... Though Govt. had asked the ISPs to lift off the ban, only few have done it. VSNL has definitely not taken any proactive steps and is still continuing with the blanket ban! I've thought about a solution to come across this blog and will pretty soon act upon it. Need to check with some technical folks as to whether it will work or not. If any of you techies reading this, will registering a domain name and redirecting it to this blog work? I've seen it working with a few domain registered blogs. Pls comment or mail!

Face off?

Blog Access!

Fellow readers and bloggers, if you are able to see this post thru some method, please pass on the buck to your friends/colleages and tell them that they can access Peak Day Blues thru this link - http://www.pkblogs.com/peakday Will be back in action from tomorrow! Hope this insanity from the Govt. stops! There's an old saying in malayalam - Angadiyil thottathinu ammayude nenjatho?

WTF? Blog outage hits Coimbatore too!

From Monday, when I heard from my fellow bloggers in the metros that the Govt. of India had clamped down on blogs, I was under the impression that this will be sorted out soon. I thought from a technical point of view, the Govt. is not at fault, but the ISP providers coz they stopped access to the root directory of Blogspot since they don't have the technical knowhow to block a particular blog. But right now I am seriously pissed off! On Wednesday evening after 8 PM, am not able to access any blogs, both from my Tata Indicom Walky connection at home and from the corporate VSNL connection from office! Even after getting so much media attention from the whole world for all the wrong reasons, I don't understand why the government is keeping mum! I was of the positive opinion that since so much furore has been generated, the government will soon roll back its decision. But seeing that the blockage is only spreading, I doubt of any immediate reactions from the ISPs or from the DoT.

En route to Berijam!

En route to Berijam Lake, we also stopped at another view point from where you could see the hills and the lake from a distance. Here there was a small point of "no return" or what we call a suicide spot! After enjoying the scenic nature and attending for nature's call, we posed for some snaps and proceeded. The place was abuzz with other touring groups too. [Say Cheese, you are on camera!] [The group snap from the suicide point] [This was a small umbrella shaped block from where the view was brilliant. Our hands were shaking because of the strong winds while standing there] [Tresspassers will be prosecuted] [An all girlie snap] [Another team snap] [That's Bugs Bunny in the middle] [A nice group snap...] [The Berijam lake from the distance] Nature at its best.... The pics might not look good in this postcard size, but click on it for a bigger image and it might luk good :-) Okay, now about this snap. This is a watch tower build for the forest guards and one is not sup

The Great Guna Act!

We visited Guna Caves on the third day of our Kodai trip. Will write more on that later, but here's an awesome clip of Kirishnan a.k.a. Kamala Haasan, acting out the famous scenes from the movie Guna, in front of the Guna Caves. You can also catch RR a.k.a cine star Karthick in the last few frames trying to console Kamala Haasan! A must watch folks!

Pine Forest - 2

[Johnson carrying the dead tiger! Forgot? The tiger committed suicide yaar] ['nther view of the phorest!] [The Human Train?] [Hey, what did you saw?] [Two trains in a single track?] [The ruf and tuf gang] [Yeh dosti... Hum nahin...] [The ruf and tuf gang becomes the guf and ahw gang] [Poor tree... It close it's nose] [!!!!!!!]

Pine Forest - Part 1

On the second day of the trip, we hired 3 local mini buses and set foot to reach Berijam lake. En route, we came across this dense pine forest and according to our tour guide "who knows only English", most of the film shoots happen here during summer months. [Heee, that's me that's me] The entrepreneurial spirit of Indians was very much visible here. A stuffed toy of a tiger was in place and you can pose in front of it and take a snap, all for a price. If you want to just pose and take a snap from your own camera, it's Rs. 5 per snap. If you want the "resident" cameraman over there, who will give an instant photo, it's Rs. 10!! [Yeehaa, where's the next Jellikattu?] [Poor tiger, he couldn't breath] [How's that for a man vs. legend?] [After this snap was taken, the tiger committed suicide] [A view of the pine forest] [All girlie snap] [Okay, okay Karthi, picture taken] [Ahem Ahem, no comments here] [Sun rays trying to touch the earth!]

Python swallowing a Kangaroo!

Arun Sankar forwarded me this mail a few days back. Initially, looking at the subject, I thought it might be a clever PhotoShop work, but luking thru the pics, i think it's REAL. Though there were 10 snaps, am only putting up 3 coz of its gory images!
