Being Articulate!

I believe India is blessed to have Rahul Dravid as our captain. He is one of the best orators around, with articulative skills that no other captain can match (read: Inzy & others).

India were a disaster in yesterday's match and this is what Dravid had to say:

"I thought there would be a bit more for the bowlers in the wicket"

Oh okay, so it's not our bowling! Blame it on the pitch!

"Credit to the opposition. They played a perfect One-day game. They really batted well, got two guys who went on and got a hundred. It's exactly what you want. They then took wickets up front with the new ball"

I see. It's not because we played bad cricket, they performed better!

"For us, it's a bit of an issue because of the lack of a genuine all-rounder"

Ahaa! None of us knew that. Blaming it on lack of talent??!

"It's been a disappointing performance all round but there are six games to go and hopefully we'll bounce back"

Wow! That one is for the papers and news channels!! Optimistic Indian team.

What more can Indian cricket fans ask for. Right??

  2. Articulative - Smart answers:

Made you forget the lost (last) cricket and all our focus is on Dravid's comments.

Dravid stood by his name, the wall - protected the team!

He did a good captain in protecting the team, but lost in making the team shine!!

Hope for the best in the following matches - to see him a better captain!!

  4. hi RC:

I am no cricket fan. I've not even watched one cricket match in full, though get updated with the news just like any other news.

I am looking at the captaincy and leadership whichever arena it be

    just the habit!

  5. TAT was disasater sterday, this is what the TL has got to say: (A similar story - I doubt you publish this!!)

I thought there would be more time, since it was an add on job.

Credit to the other team. They did a wonderful job. They really transcribed/briefed well, got two guys to help it out and got it in time. It is exactly what you want. They then got two editors up front to finish that off.

For us, it is a bit of an issue, because of the lack of a genuine all-rounder

It's been a disappointing performance all round but there are more jobs to be done and hopefully we'll bounce back!!

Ariyaatha pillakku choriyumbol ariyum!

As a kid/teenager, my only source of information to learn malayalam was Manorama Publications' Balaram, a children's fortnightly and my granny. I still vividly remember how she used to teach me the basics of malayalam whenever I come to Kerala on vacations. My granny was also a great source of amazement for me as she used malaylam proverbs or the so called "pazham chollu" every now and then. These proverbs, though small in length and use, had deep insights! Though I can read/write Malayalam today, thx to Balarama and my granny, I used to miss her proverbs a lot. But not anymore!!
