The world's largest passenger plane, the Airbus double-decker A380, is on its maiden flight in Toulouse, France. It is expected to land in another 1hr (according to news channels) after testing for the first time with a six member crew.
The delivery of the Airbus A380 which can carry up to 800 passengers will start early next year with Singapore Airlines being the lucky ones. It is widely expected that the maiden commercial flight will be to Heathrow Airport, the home of erstwhile Concorde.
Emirates Airlines has ordered 50 Airbus A380 and the Co. has already received 150 orders. According to reports, it will take 250 planes for Airbus to be breakeven.
Some passenger planes also will have cocktail bars, double beds and massage parlors. Airbus also says some jets may have jacuzzis and mini-casinos.
