I learned a lesson or two today when I was out shopping with my mom.... We went to two shops, one a grocery shop and the other a vegetable shop... The vegetable shop that we went into is a huge one (read: Pazhamudir Cholai), but the sales guyz were really "customer unfriendly"..... but in the grocery store, though it was small in size vs. the vegetable shop, the sales people over there were begging for our attention...
So, why this difference? When I asked mom about this, she said a simple thing differentiates the two, i.e., the first shop's owner was not present in the shop, but the grocery store owner was running here and there and giving orders to the sales guyz to get things done!!
Noticed the difference? I believe that makes a business tick! And by the way, I've decided not to go to that vegetable shop anymore since there are 100s of other shops providing the same thing with much better customer satisfaction!
