En route to Berijam!

En route to Berijam Lake, we also stopped at another view point from where you could see the hills and the lake from a distance. Here there was a small point of "no return" or what we call a suicide spot!

After enjoying the scenic nature and attending for nature's call, we posed for some snaps and proceeded. The place was abuzz with other touring groups too.

[Say Cheese, you are on camera!]

[The group snap from the suicide point]

[This was a small umbrella shaped block from where the view was brilliant. Our hands were shaking because of the strong winds while standing there]

[Tresspassers will be prosecuted]

[An all girlie snap]

[Another team snap]

[That's Bugs Bunny in the middle]

[A nice group snap...]

[The Berijam lake from the distance]

Nature at its best.... The pics might not look good in this postcard size, but click on it for a bigger image and it might luk good :-)

Okay, now about this snap. This is a watch tower build for the forest guards and one is not supposed to climb it. Some of the dare-devil stupids from other touring groups were trying to climb it and had to climb down half way coz of the forest guards. Hope they got fined! :-)

Ariyaatha pillakku choriyumbol ariyum!

As a kid/teenager, my only source of information to learn malayalam was Manorama Publications' Balaram, a children's fortnightly and my granny. I still vividly remember how she used to teach me the basics of malayalam whenever I come to Kerala on vacations. My granny was also a great source of amazement for me as she used malaylam proverbs or the so called "pazham chollu" every now and then. These proverbs, though small in length and use, had deep insights! Though I can read/write Malayalam today, thx to Balarama and my granny, I used to miss her proverbs a lot. But not anymore!!
