Infosys is all set to announce plans to set up a huge software development campus over an area not less than 100 acres at a proposed software SEZ in Hyderabad. This can be another landmark in Andhra Pradesh’s information technology sector.
NR Narayana Murthy, chief mentor and founder of the company, will be in Hyderabad tomorrow to meet Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and apprise him of Infosys’ plans for the state. He was expected to formally seek land for setting up the IT campus, sources said.
Infosys has already established its base in Hyderabad with a campus near the Indian School of Business in Madhapur. The government has already offered a huge chunk of land to Wipro at Vattinagulapally near Hyderabad for setting up its campus. Wipro alone is expected to create 30,000 jobs at its proposed campus.
