Do you know Shashi Tharoor? Yes, the same guy who at times writes for Hindu's sunday magazine and a high-profile UN diplomat is India's official candidate for the Secretary General of the United Nations. Kofi Annan is retiring by year-end and the UN is on a lookout for a new secretary.
But the race is going to be tough for him as many ex-Presidents, ex-Prime Ministers, Prices of the world are vying for the post.
