Thiraiparvai with Vivek

Vivek

Did you guys watch this week's Madans Thiraiparvai in Vijay TV?? Well, this week he interviewed comedian Vivek and it was quite a good show to watch for all vivek fans. I came to know about a lot of things regarding Vivek which I was unaware of... He is a voracious reader....Was having a government job before coming to movies....Was part of a comedy club in Chennai etc. etc.

I've seen him as the best friend of the protagonist in many a yesteryear movies and I believe "Vali" starring Ajith was the turning point of his career. I read from some articles that in this particular movie he started writing the script himself and thus began the upward swing to new heights in his career... I also came to know that he has got 3 good comedy writers with him who go out to the society and comes up with social issues which he portrays quite well in his movie through the mass appeal of comedy...

I enjoy his comedies immensely and he is one of my fav comedians/character artists in tollywood....

Ariyaatha pillakku choriyumbol ariyum!

As a kid/teenager, my only source of information to learn malayalam was Manorama Publications' Balaram, a children's fortnightly and my granny. I still vividly remember how she used to teach me the basics of malayalam whenever I come to Kerala on vacations. My granny was also a great source of amazement for me as she used malaylam proverbs or the so called "pazham chollu" every now and then. These proverbs, though small in length and use, had deep insights! Though I can read/write Malayalam today, thx to Balarama and my granny, I used to miss her proverbs a lot. But not anymore!!
