A 75-year-old man in Sankarankovil has built his own tomb stating that he did not want to leave the work to somebody.
"I am building the tomb for myself in advance because I did not want to leave the work to someone else. Besides, when our father died, we built his tomb with great difficulty as we were in debt," says K S Madasamy of Gandhinagar in this small town.
A stone tablet on the sides of the tomb 'predicts' that he would die in 2007. Madasamy had built his tomb adjacent to the tomb of his father, who participated in the freedom struggle and died in 1942. Madasamy began constructing his tomb a few days back and completed the work on Thursday.
