Kerala says no to Colas!

IMG Courtesy DNA
The communist ruled government of Kerala has decided to ban all brands of Pepsi and Coca-Cola after the recent study from CSE again indicated that the pesticide levels in colas are still high.

The same CSE had done this study 2-3 years back and the cola majors were just coming out of that big controversy which led to a huge fall in their sales & profits. Read more, and here's the mallu version

Well, I personally don't think they are as dangerous as it is perceived to be, but still rather prefer not drinking them coz of an experiment me and my friend did a few years back, by putting in a rooted tooth of his in a bottle of cola for 2 days!!

My new slogan:
Eat Cola,
Sleep Cola,
But Never Drink Coca-Cola

Ariyaatha pillakku choriyumbol ariyum!

As a kid/teenager, my only source of information to learn malayalam was Manorama Publications' Balaram, a children's fortnightly and my granny. I still vividly remember how she used to teach me the basics of malayalam whenever I come to Kerala on vacations. My granny was also a great source of amazement for me as she used malaylam proverbs or the so called "pazham chollu" every now and then. These proverbs, though small in length and use, had deep insights! Though I can read/write Malayalam today, thx to Balarama and my granny, I used to miss her proverbs a lot. But not anymore!! Thanks to this Wikipedia link , forwarded to me by Vinay
