Search for a mobile!

I've been using a Nokia 3310 (pic below if you haven't seen one) for the past 5 years and has been giving me a stellar of a performance. I had bought it at a sky rocketing price of Rs. 8500/- (which then for a mobile was a huge sum) and was also one of the first in my friends circle to own one... Good old days!!

But now, it's a totally different story. People give me strange looks when I take a call or exhibit my lovely phone in public. I've become a jokebutt among my friends, calling my mobile an antique piece.

You might ask why I didn't buy any mobiles for the past 5 years? The reason is, from an amortization standpoint, a Rs. 8500/- worth thing having only a value of Rs. 600 in 5 years is the worst price deluge I've ever seen in my life! And one more reason was the sentimental value... You know, the first thing I ever bought with my first salary...

But I think it's time for me to part with my ever following mob, since the battery performance hasn't been that great and the screen gets blacked out because of a problem with the keyboard!

Now, here's your chance to help me buy a new phone. Pls suggest me some good models from any makers and if possible with the price tag in the comments section. Will be greatly treasured guys/gals!

Ariyaatha pillakku choriyumbol ariyum!

As a kid/teenager, my only source of information to learn malayalam was Manorama Publications' Balaram, a children's fortnightly and my granny. I still vividly remember how she used to teach me the basics of malayalam whenever I come to Kerala on vacations. My granny was also a great source of amazement for me as she used malaylam proverbs or the so called "pazham chollu" every now and then. These proverbs, though small in length and use, had deep insights! Though I can read/write Malayalam today, thx to Balarama and my granny, I used to miss her proverbs a lot. But not anymore!!
