Search Personified!!

No matter how much we appluad Google or try out new search engines like MSN or Yahoo!, the boundaries of search is still untapped for.

There are at times when you search for the simplest things that you realize that this technology has miles and miles to go....

I just wanted a list of some public libraries in Coimbatore, but couldn't find anything online.

So, me going back to the good old way of searching (asking people)....

Anyone knows about any good libraries in Coimbatore?? Pls help!

  1. There is a good old govt. central library right in front of Forest Camp, RS Puram. Looks withered, but lot of stuffs, especially in the reference section. I got the membership, just Rs. 60 with annual renewal fee of Rs. 10. U can take 3 books home and should return it after 2 weeks or u should pay a hefty fine of Rs. 0.50 per book! Hope 2 C U there on weekends...

Ariyaatha pillakku choriyumbol ariyum!

As a kid/teenager, my only source of information to learn malayalam was Manorama Publications' Balaram, a children's fortnightly and my granny. I still vividly remember how she used to teach me the basics of malayalam whenever I come to Kerala on vacations. My granny was also a great source of amazement for me as she used malaylam proverbs or the so called "pazham chollu" every now and then. These proverbs, though small in length and use, had deep insights! Though I can read/write Malayalam today, thx to Balarama and my granny, I used to miss her proverbs a lot. But not anymore!!
